America’s favorite fishing boat manufacturer is looking to reset the table again with the recent introduction of the TRACKER Savage 215 model. This is a 21’ aluminum boat that will handle up to 250 hp and retails for under $60K. A new fabrication process allows TRACKER to create a boat that look very much like its fiberglass counterpart without the associated cost.
Let’s start with the specifications. The sleek Savage 215 measures 21’3” long, 95” wide, holds up to 250 hp and 40 gallons of fuel. The hull weighs approximately 1900 pounds and the entire package tips the scales to around 3,830 pounds.
With a Mercury 200 Pro XS the rig should run 61-64 mph. Upgrade to the max hp Mecury 250 Pro XS Torque Master and the rig runs over 70 mph! The hull design is something TRACKER is calling the POWER CURVE and it is made from .125 gauge aluminum.
There are two packages to choose from: Big Catch 1 and Big Catch 2 and three colors: starlite red, starlite white and startlite black.
Standard features include a massive front deck that will house up to 12 rods in tubes in twin rod lockers and a center storage area that hold even more rods and tackle boxes. There are passenger and drive seats and a coinbox between with a non-slip top to access the rear deck and a flip down center cushion with back bolster. There are six drink holders. The prostyle, rounded corner livewell is 25-gallons with a baffle, timer, recirculatory, pump-out system and dual overflow drain with an 800 gph aerator/fill pump and an 800 gph recirculating pump with/timer. The standard trolling motor is a Minn Kota Maxxum 24V 70-pound thrust model. The boat does of a recessed trolling motor foot pedal and is wired to accept up to a 36-volt trolling motor.
The compartment lids are all aluminum. There’s an 800 gph automatic bilge pump, a SeaLok remote drain plug, three-bank battery charger with Interstate batteries, insulated cooler compartment, a Galvashield coated tandem-axle trailer with spare, 14” wheels, swing-away tongue, tilt hydraulic steering, 4.3” touchscreen gauge display, bow ventilation system, 16-oz. marine grade carpeting, a Lowrance Eagle 7 fishfinder with SplitShot transducer and aft port and starboard molded storage boxes that each hold six 3700 tackle boxes.
